Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh made the painting Starry Night. Starry Night is a very famous painting. There are a lot of other paintings like Cafe Terrace, Starry Night Over the Rhome, Sunflowers, Irises, and Almond Branches. A picture of Starry Night is here for you to see. Vincent was alive in the 1800's.

I like Starry Night because I think it has good texture and I like the sky. I like all of the details in the city.

It is an impressionist painting. Impressionism in paintings is usually shown by evident paint strokes and emphasis on light.

  1. From some articles we have been reading it appears that Vincent Van Gogh was considered a "post-impressionist". That means-that they would still use heavy paint and visual brush strokes but they were not restricted by the basic laws of painting. They could use geometric shapes to express things.
